Susanne McDonald is an actor, devising theatre artist, and arts advocate currently based in Charleston, South Carolina.
As an actor, Susanne is focused on film and devising theatre, with a love for both classical and contemporary works. As a devising theatre artist, collaborator, and arts advocate she aims to cultivate community through the power of bringing people together with the arts and is dedicated to diverse storytelling that explores many varying perspectives.
Susanne LOVES to travel. In 2019, she studied ancient Greek theatre, dance, and film with the International Theatre and Dance Project and graduated from the London Academy Music and Dramatic Arts Classical Acting Semester Program.
In May of 2020, Susanne graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Theater with a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship.
She was recently nominated as Best Actor/Actress at the Southeast Regional Film Festival for her work in “The House Guest” which won Best Horror Short in the 2020 Kosice International Film Festival.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she began to teach and assistant direct with Pure Theatre as well as run a social media page called "Collaborative Creatives Charleston," supporting artists in the Charleston community through collaboration and social media engagement. She also was a theatrical intern with Foolsfury, working closely with their new work "The Library Project."
